Special Needs Senior Shitz-Po “Teddy” Needs A Forever Home

Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Teddy is a Special Needs little boy estimated to be 8-10 yo although he looks much younger than that. Teddy made it out of a high kill shelter but his luck ended there. For more than 3 months Teddy has been spending his days in a cage at a boarding place all by himself with no human love, no socializing with other dogs and no SOFT BED TO LAY AND SLEEP. Teddy is a sweet boy that right now is very scared and he deserves so much more than what he has right now! He seems to be a Shitzu-Poodle mix, no more than 10 lbs, he is good with cats, other dogs and people. Although he has not been exposed to children he should not have a problem with children over the age of 12. Due to his size and condition, he will not be adopted into a home with smaller children.

Teddy seems to be partially blind. We can tell that he sees a little because he will follow you. He knows to sit, stay and walk on a leash. He seems to have suffered either a spinal injury or a neorological trauma because he wabbles and trips a little when he walks but he can hold himself up and follow you around and he likes to go for little walks.

Teddy needs a loving forever home that will understand his needs and cater to him and love him and protect him for the rest of his life. He has all his shots and is HW negative. He is not neutered and has been EXEMPT from that due to his age and condition. There will be no adoption fee to the right home for Teddy. if you want to meet Teddy and open your heart and your home to Teddy, Please contact Maria at We hope to hear from you soon! PLEASE DO NOT LET TEDDY SPEND ANOTHER NIGHT ALL ALONE IN A CAGE.

Application, references and a home visit required to complete adoption. IF a reputable rescue wants to take Teddy as a forever foster, please contact Maria for transfer details.
